The Golden Book, AI, and Public Speaking.

How will Dale Carnegie's Golden Book, Artificial
Intelligence (AI ) and public speaking change the future?

Please first read from the 'Adventures of Jack':
Book  (2)                                         The Golden Book

Jack, was now age 10.  He wondered how he could find another challenge like book # 1 ( rafting with Jim)?
This chilly day in January again at the library, he discovered Dale Carnegie’s Golden Book, who was Dale Carnegie? ( Dale Carnegie was born in 1888 in Missouri, USA and was educated at Warrensburg State Teachers College. As a salesman and aspiring actor, he traveled to New York and began teaching communications classes to adults at the YMCA. In 1912, the world-famous Dale Carnegie Course® was born. He authored several best-sellers, including How to Win Friends and Influence People and How to Stop Worrying and Start Living. Over 50 million copies of Mr. Carnegie's books have been printed and published in 38 languages )
As he continued to read the Golden Book Jack became intrigued by the power of Mr. Carnegie’s ideas:
Become a Friendlier Person
Win People to Your Way of Thinking
Be a Leader
Principles of How to Stop Worrying and Start Living.
He wondered how a boy of ten could 'Win Friends and Influence People'?

Could he start today?  Just about when the thought popped into Jack’s brain he saw a little girl trying to reach the top shelve, Jack sprung to the rescue like a knight in shining armor, and said may I help?  She looked up Jack he was so tall at age 10, almost a man she thought, yes, please reach that book ( Robinson Caruso ). She smiles, thanks she says. Jack thinks this How to Win Friends and Influence People stuff may work!
Jack begins to feel the personal satisfaction of helping another person, certainly not something anyone would say about Jack.
Jack, wonders how he could go to school and tell his friends, would they laugh?  Jack, helping a girl? How to Win Friends and Influence People, no way he thinks.
Now Jack’s brain is bursting with the idea Become a Friendlier Person, but how?
Jack, looked up and saw his mother in the kitchen, hi mom, would you like me to rake the leaves?  Jack’s mother put her hand on Jack’s forehead, thinking maybe he has a fever?  She said thank you, Jack, for wondering what had come over this boy.
Jack’s father Jake arrived home and saw the massive piles of leaves; he was stunned he said: “ did you rake the leaves Jack “ "yes Dad" Thank You, Jack!

That night before Jack dozed off; Jack thought he would one day try the ideas of the Golden Book at school.

Now please follow me to the future with this Cold Fusion video:

AI codes its own ‘AI Child’ - Artificial Intelligence breakthrough!

The Golden Book is about leadership, and AI is about our future?
If you read Jack's adventure story #2 in 'The Adventures of Jack'  https://buildingatoolbox.blogspot.com/  Jack's Adventure is about his future! I wrote The Adventures, based on the dreams of a 10-year-old, and a boy ( myself ) I wished could have been a reader like Jack.

How important is public speaking, how important is AI ?  How are our kids communicating?

Is this your child, or are there millions of children with no access to computers? How will these children learn to communicate?

With or without computers, will they be able to lead a group, build business relationships or be a Toastmaster World Champion?

Each child with their face stuck too a screen is losing valuable social skills. Each child without the ability to learn English is losing future access to the world!

Author Keith Ferrazzi in 'Never Eat Alone' teaches why communication is so important.
They talk about the importance of Public Speaking, how he builds an amazing collection of business contacts. How the power of joining a Toastmaster club, to hone those communication skills is so important.
Toastmaster World Championship Dananjaya Hettiarachchi said" I see something in you" in his speech below. This is the power of learning public speaking

Interestingly, Toastmasters, every year has the World Championship of Public Speaking. The contestants may be from any club in the world with over 16,400 clubs and 352,000 members. Each must have completed six speeches in the Competent Communications Manual to compete, In The International Speech Contest, in English?
Yes, friends, the contest is in English, not your native tongue, why?
Let's go back to WHY CREATE WeebeWorld?
Yes, World Championship Dananjaya Hettiarachchi said:" I see something in you?"

We all need mentors; at 16 Bob Riley taught me the Landscaping business. Then I met Albert, my friend for over 40 years ( the smartest man in the world).

WHY CREATE WeebeWorld "to help change the world one child at a time". Yes, it was that sixteen-year boy that morning at Alonso High School in 2003, who made me realize why I was a Toastmaster, why I will become a mentor.

Yes, thank you to Bob and Albert for mentoring me, and all those that have impacted my life.

So after 13 years as a Toastmaster ( Toastmasters.org, teaches public speaking in over 140 countries. I created www.youthspeakingtoamerica.zohosites.com, and after teaching 18 Toastmaster Youth Leadership Programs, I traveled to Naga City, Dec. 2017 to the Philippines to meet the love of my life.

Every day on video conversations with Rowena, I saw the children bringing their peso's to Rowena's store to buy treats; but they spoke no English? So I had a better idea. Like the early Ford commercial.

Teach them English.

So just in case you don't know, I was the perfect student, thrown out of the 4th grade twice, and then the 9th grade at 16 years old.

My story

Toastmaster's created in me this mission ( stay in school ).

So here I am in a different world the Philippines, I don't speak one word of Tagalog, I had a new mission ( teach English, spelling, and sentence structure, leading to public speaking.
Before I said, " Yes, friends, the contest is in English, not your native tongue, why?"

Simon Sinek says "Together is better" https://youtu.be/AIkfdhGhxDc
Millions watch Simon's speeches, it's the power of public speaking.

MLK said, " I have a Dream."
JFK said, " ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country"?

MLK and JFK captured millions with powerful speeches. Simon Sinek asks in a speech"where do people like Johonny Bravo come from" I ask how do they become leaders?

Many years ago as I watched almost all of the American Idol shows; it was then I wanted to help my students make it to the big stage!
Then I wrote " Break Down that Wall"

Recently I picked up this interesting little book 'The Art of Being Unmistakable" the author Srinivas Rao, writes:

"The future belongs to the misfits?

Perhaps it always has.
It seems fitting that I'm writing this at Burning Man, a strange and alternative pop-up city that had to venture into the middle of nowhere - an ancient lakebed in the Nevada desert, known as playa - to bring itself into being near the end of every August.
Each time I come here, to this world of portapotties, alkaline dust storms, sweltering days, freezing nights, and no Starbucks - I swear to myself, this is the last freaking time. And yet there's a point when something in me shifts over and I know I will return. How could I not? "Welcome home Burners" they say as we reunite with each other on the playa, and it's true. Even if you've never been here before, the playa calls you home."

In the last line, on page 130 of 'The Art of Being Unmistakable", the author says" It's the opportunity for a performance where you leave your heart on the stage."
What does the author mean?

So you've have read this powerful little book, it is everything you ever thought about? It is the commonsense stuff your mother said or your 4th-grade teacher?

Then you think about leaving your heart on the big stage; everyone has their idea of what their big stage is. Do let us explore the art of being unmistakable?
Each week when I enter the classrooms for 1.5 hr sessions, I see the " opportunity for that performance, in those children " They have that chance to be unmistakable.

Or maybe.....

When you're running that 26.2-mile marathon, at 16 miles you hit the wall and the lactic acid builds in your legs. You think to yourself, a water stop! You walk, your legs burn, and you want to quit. You down some Gatorade, grab some cookies (sugar, sugar) you want to quit, your legs say quit your brain says you trained and trained, it says no quitting! The big stage is only 10.2 miles away, eke! People along the way see and feel your pain, they know, because some have experienced the big stage, they feel your pain. Some know about the big stage....it can change your life.

Soon you will arrive at the big stage and it's just like returning to the playa. It even has portapotties, this stage may have a Starbucks! Your body is so tired, but you have forgotten about the pain! You have arrived - when you get it, it's so powerful!

Don't we all hit the wall? Do you wonder what Albert Einstein's parents thought when at 9 years old his teacher said he would never amount to anything? Do you wonder what he thought? What if that was your child? What if it was you who wanted to break down the wall? We know Albert Einstein's story, but how about the next kid, he may not have a 150+ IQ, he may not be smarter than those who put up the wall?

When Ronald Reagan said "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall" was it a different wall, not really, but in reality, it's the same wall that separates people from freedom.

Who builds the walls? It could be you, me, educators, government, bosses or the kids in the schoolyard. What if the wall was just in your mind? Do you think Albert Einstein cared about the wall? Why do people keep returning to the playa, maybe because they find some answers? How to climb the wall? How to get to the big stage?

My mission Youth Speaking to America is about breaking down walls. It's about giving students the chance to become someone. So exactly what is the big stage? Is it inventing the iPhone, scoring the touchdown that wins the Iron-bowl, or telling the world about The Theory of Relativity? You decide.

Youth Speaking to America is about teaching how to open young minds not to ever believe that person who says you can't do that, you're not smart enough. Remember if teaching children there is no wall, like Walt Disney, said " if you can dream it, you can do it" you can.

Everyone can reach the big stage. Your stage may be American Idol, teaching children, breaking down barriers like Nelson Mandela, building Amazon-like ( Jeff Bezos ), or just being a good parent by teaching values. Remember you don't have to be rich, just be real!

Personally, I don't remember being told this stuff. I did things the hard way because I lacked the education. The one thing I tell all the students, if you work hard, and be on time, someone will notice. But if you build your own wall ( no education ) it's so much harder, I would know!

Every child deserves a head start; a head start to become a confident speaker and leader or even be the exception like 10-year-old intellect Dalton Sherman's, keynote speech

So many will just never know unless you introduce them to a program like WeebeWorld.
